I have been employed at Walmart Stores, Inc. since 1990. Walmart was my first and only job, and I have witnessed the evolution of retail over the past 30 years. I started as a cart pusher while in high school through the work program. I grew up with Walmart and have learned many valuable lessons about how to run a business. I am currently the store manager for Walmart in Converse. The only constant is "Change.” We must adapt and evolve or risk being crushed by our own stagnation, as retailers before us have experienced. I have received several awards for sales, profit, food service, and leadership during my various roles at Walmart. The reason I serve my community is to help revitalize our wonderful city and to share my retail experience to aid in making the best decisions when attracting new businesses or helping our existing ones grow.
