Texas owns a civilian workforce of over 13 million diverse workers, the second largest in the nation, and has logged 6 million in population growth since 2000. Texas is also one of the best states for customized workforce training with the Skills Development Fund that benefits Texas businesses with job training programs through collaboration with technical colleges and economic development partners.

Metropolitan San Antonio has a population of 2.5 million, which is projected to grow 8.43% by 2022. Bexar County's population of 2 million is expected to grow 8.23% by the same year. San Antonio has 1.5 million people and an unemployment rate of 3.2%, lower than Bexar County's and nearly a whole percent lower than the U.S. Windcrest itself has a population of 5,865 and a labor force that continues to grow. Windcrest's total daytime population of 8,611 consists of 5,133 workers.
